  my mil, who is part of a portuguese speaking congregation, told my wife that they began giving everyone an english copy of the internal study version of the wt along with their portuguese copy.

  she's worried because she thinks they are planing to eventually move them to an english congregation, like they have done with other languages in the area already.

  i think there might be a real lack of brothers to take the lead in these foreign congs and the ones they do have are aging rapidly.

  historian niall ferguson made some extended remarks recently arguing that the american empire may be closer to the edge than many suppose.. he starts out observing that while the fateful decline of american supremacy is now widely accepted, it is still generally expected that this will be a protracted process.

  after all empires don't fall in a day.

  so im in a predicament and seeking help from a few of you willing to make a phone call tommorow to the society during office hours.

  ok so im here in pineville louisiana but were going to be frozen over as of tommorow night and friday night with snow ice and sleet.

  the pipes on our house rboke yesterday because we also had a storm yesterday and the pipes broke overnite so now we have a mes.

  this subject thread has been on my mind for a while, especially after seeing "zombieland" and foodall's thread about our possible ufo/reptilian over lords/realion/alien invaders.

  when the great day of reckoning comes, whether it be from ufo alien invaders, realian reptilian over lords, demons in human-hybrid form, or just plain old virus-infected zombies, what will you be carrying to defend yourself from the hostile forces of e-vile?

  please, no one say a "bible" or i'm going to just laugh my ass off.

  Same as above....50 Caliber. So.... fired from 1.5 miles away, if there were two "Aliens" having a coke and making Al Qaeda jokes, one of the two "Aliens" would see his buddy hit by a first bullet, and.....three seconds later, "hear" the shot fired. This bullet travels at 2,800 feet per second. That's just about 2 seconds per mile..... sounds travels at 1,126 feet per second,....half the speed of the bullet. Bottom line, the Alien would be green goo before he ever even heard the shot. Only the second surviving Alien would have time to take cover from the "warning" shot/death of his Coke drinkin', Al Qaeda jokin' pal....
